Jakarta Education Agency head Taufik Yudi Mulianto said on Tuesday that national final exam (UAN) materials would be distributed starting April 17, the day before the test.
“This is done to anticipate any possibility of leaked material,” said Taufik as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
On April 17, 2011, at 4:00 a.m., exams for the Thousand Islands will be ready to distribute. Meanwhile, tests for five districts in Jakarta would be distributed starting at 5:00 a.m. “At 6:30 a.m., tests would have been handed over to committees of the respective municipalities,” he added.
Those committees in the municipality level will pass on the materials to respective schools.
“At the schools, the tests will be kept in one locked room,” he said.
Separately, in Jember, East Java, the exam materials for high schools, vocational high schools and Islamic high schools will be kept at the Jember Police station.
“We have prepared a special room to store all the material. Instead of double locks, four police officers will guard the room,” Jember District Police head of operations Budiharto said. (fem)
